Portfolio Update +142%. SELLING ROCKET LAB (AGAIN)
Final Trades For 2025
Last week, we sold GOOGL (up 106%), BEPC (down 14%), FLNC (up 14%), OPEN (down 1%), and SMR (one of our smallest positions, down 46%) to add to some of my higher confidence positions after they had pulled back.
We added to PRM around $28, NBIS around $79, and IREN around $36. Since we added to those positions, PRM is flat, NBIS is at $90, and IREN is at $41.
So far, the timing of those trades has worked out well. But I didn’t make those changes because I thought the stocks would go up over the next week or even over the next few months.
I made those changes because I thought those stocks offered more upside for the next 3+ years than the stocks I sold. So we have a long time left to see if it was actually a good decision.

My New Purchase (now my largest holding)
Exactly why I sold Rocket Lab and what price I’d purchase it at in the future.
This week, I added a new stock, which is now the largest position in the portfolio. To raise cash for that purchase, I sold out of Rocket Lab again. We first sold our RKLB shares at $64 in October after a 623% gain. I loved the company, but I thought shares were way too overvalued. The stock got cut almost in half, and I repurchased shares at $38 in November.
Quick note, if I was in the first 2-3 years of building my portfolio or my monthly contributions were 1% or more of my total portfolio value, I would just hang onto the stocks I own and build new positions with new money coming into the portfolio.
So that’s one way you could use this newsletter. I’ve been investing for 15 years, so my monthly contributions don’t give me enough cash to build meaningful new positions.
Here are screenshots of those RKLB trades (tracked by a third-party company, SavvyTrader).
Then I just sold out of the position for an 82% gain (in just over a month) at $77/sh.
I also trimmed a few other positions to make room to add a new purchase to the portfolio which is now our largest position.
